WOODSTOCK — Route 197 remained closed in both directions between Dugg Hill Road and Route 131 late Monday afternoon because of a tree down in wires, according to CTroads, the state’s traffic-information service.
The incident was reported at 2:01 p.m. October 19. CTroads revised the advisory at 3:08 p.m.; its full advisory table still listed the closure when Eastern CT News rechecked before publication.
The notice gives no official detour or estimated reopening time. Drivers should avoid the closed stretch and follow posted closures and responders’ directions.
The advisory reviewed does not provide injury information, an outage count or a responding agency. It does not establish the cause of the tree’s fall. Further details and a reopening notice are pending.
