WOODSTOCK — Muddy Brook Fire Department is highlighting Deputy Chief Tom Converse and a family tradition that spans five generations in a new video produced by his employer, Spectrum.

In a department message shared by WINY Radio on November 4, Muddy Brook said Converse is a fourth-generation member. His great-grandfather was a founding member in 1934, and his three children make up the family’s fifth generation serving Woodstock.

Spectrum’s video, “Fiber by Day, Firehouse by Night,” pairs his work building communications infrastructure with his volunteer fire service. The department said a camera crew visited its station a few weeks before Wednesday’s message.

Muddy Brook is one of Woodstock’s three volunteer fire departments. The town’s fire-protection directory identifies its Station 75 at 93 Woodstock Road in East Woodstock and says it serves North and East Woodstock, with mutual aid to the other departments and surrounding towns.

Residents with nonemergency questions for Muddy Brook can call the station at 860-928-3032, the number listed in the town directory. Emergency calls should go to 911.
