WINDHAM — Residents voting before the November 3 state election can use either of two early-voting sites listed in the town’s October 6 notice: Bellingham Auditorium at Windham Town Hall, 979 Main Street, or the Paul E. Johnson Sr. Community Conference Room in Eastern Connecticut State University’s J. Eugene Smith Library, 83 Windham Road.

The early-voting period runs October 19 through November 1. Hours are 10 a.m.–6 p.m. on most days, with a longer 8 a.m.–8 p.m. window on October 27 and October 29. The town also lists same-day registration alongside early voting.

Those sites should not be confused with Election Day polling places. Windham’s notice identifies the VFW, Elks Lodge and Windham Center Fire Department for November 3, when polls are open 6 a.m.–8 p.m. Voters should confirm their assigned location rather than choosing an Election Day site from that list.

The Secretary of the State’s 2026 election flyer describes early voting as an in-person option at a designated early-voting location, separate from voting on Election Day or applying for an absentee ballot. It directs voters to MyVote.CT.gov for locations and to their town clerk for absentee applications. Its statewide dates match Windham’s early-voting period.

For local questions, the town lists registrar@windhamct.gov, the registrars at 860-465-3016 and the town clerk at 860-465-3013. Contact them to confirm the location and voting option that applies to you before traveling.
