WILLIMANTIC — A refrigerated-food giveaway at Covenant Soup Kitchen is scheduled for 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, November 7, at 220 Valley Street, according to a kitchen announcement shared by Northeast NewsReel.
The announcement says the distribution is open to anyone who needs items. Its accompanying flyer lists pizza, meat and fish; quantities and availability of individual foods were not specified.
The giveaway’s announced hours are longer than the kitchen’s regular Saturday pantry-shopping hours, which its website lists as 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. The organization also lists daily breakfast from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m., daily lunch from noon to 1 p.m. and Friday and Saturday dinner from 4 to 4:30 p.m.
