WILLINGTON — An infant was flown to Connecticut Children’s Hospital after suffering burns to the legs Wednesday night, according to officials cited by the New Haven Register.
The Register reported that Willington Fire Department No. 1, Willington Hill Fire Department and Windham Hospital paramedics were dispatched at about 8:45 p.m.
Responders requested a Life Star helicopter to take the child to the hospital, the report said.
The outlet reported that Connecticut State Police described the injuries as non-life-threatening. Officials did not provide further information Friday about how the injury occurred.
Eastern CT News is withholding the child’s identifying and household information. The selected photograph is a file image from the official Willington Hill Fire Department website and is not from Wednesday’s response.
