VERNON — Residents near the Vernon Police Department’s range on Fish and Game Road may hear gunfire during scheduled low-light firearms training through November 16, the department announced.
The notice, directed to Vernon and Tolland residents, gives a training window of 3–8 p.m. between November 2 and November 16. It does not list individual training dates within that period.
Police said the shooting is part of scheduled training and advised surrounding residents that the activity is expected. The announcement describes training at the range, rather than a public emergency.
The department’s October 26 announcement was also reported by Patch. Residents should use the stated dates and hours when distinguishing this planned activity from an unrelated incident.
