VERNON — Steven Lemieux pleaded guilty August 14 in Superior Court to first-degree sexual assault, conspiracy to commit first-degree sexual assault and trafficking in persons, the Tolland Judicial District State’s Attorney announced.
The August 17 release lists sentencing for October 23 in Rockville before Judge Tejas Bhatt. That date comes from the announcement; this report does not claim a fresh docket confirmation or an already imposed sentence.
Prosecutors said the case followed a joint investigation begun after a report of abuse in February 2022. The victim’s identity and identifying personal details are omitted.
The state described charges against a co-defendant as pending at the time of the release. Lemieux’s guilty plea does not establish the outcome of another person’s case.
Readers should distinguish the verified plea from the prospective sentencing. A later court order or official outcome announcement will be needed to report the punishment imposed.
