Doro Marketplace has signed a lease at 212 Talcottville Road in Vernon, according to an October 9 Patch report. The Connecticut bakery and café would join Toor Wine & Liquor in the strip plaza.
Vernon development-services director Shaun Gately told Patch that the company’s design team was working on building and health permits. That places the expansion in the planning process rather than confirming that a Vernon store is open.
The business offers baked goods, coffee, breakfast items and prepared meals and belongs to the Doro Restaurant Group. The planned location adds a food-service tenant to a redeveloped restaurant property.
The report does not provide an opening date. Residents should wait for a business announcement before assuming service has begun; a lease and permit work do not establish an operational café.
