PLAINFIELD — The Valley Panthers beat Windham 14–7 Friday, October 30, for their third consecutive victory, the Norwich Bulletin reported.

Solomon Mboob scored on a seven-yard run with 5:12 remaining, finishing a nine-play drive that started at Valley’s own 6-yard line. His two-point pass to quarterback Mason Tavernier established the final margin, the newspaper reported.

After a scoreless first half, the teams exchanged kickoff-return touchdowns: Orion Solomon ran 80 yards for Valley, and Francisco Alvarado answered from 65 yards for Windham. Danny Pezzino’s extra point put Windham ahead 7–6.

Windham later reached the Panthers’ 20, but Solomon stopped Matteo Albano for a loss on fourth down with 2:21 left. Mboob finished with 181 yards on 34 carries; Albano had 124 yards on 23 attempts, per the Bulletin.

Valley improved to 5–2 overall and 2–0 in ECC play; Windham fell to 3–4 and 1–2. Those are the newspaper’s postgame records, not a computed conference ranking.

CIAC’s 2026–27 directory identifies Valley as Plainfield’s co-op with Ellis Tech, Putnam and Tourtellotte. Windham’s co-op also includes Bolton, Coventry and Parish Hill.
