STORRS — UConn’s volleyball team heads into a two-match road trip with consecutive wins and conference recognition for two freshmen who helped drive its offense.

Isabella Sohl was named BIG EAST Setter of the Week on Monday, November 2, after distributing 104 assists across the Huskies’ victories over Villanova and Georgetown. Her weekend included a season-high 62 assists against the Hoyas, UConn Athletics reported.

Freshman outside hitter Sydney Borowy earned a place on the conference’s weekly honor roll after finishing the two matches with 32 kills, including a season-best 18 against Georgetown.

The Huskies beat Villanova 3–1 on October 30, then rallied past Georgetown 3–2 the next evening. Against the Hoyas, UConn recovered from a 12–10 deficit in the deciding set to win it 15–13. Audrey Jensen also reached 1,000 career assists in the Villanova match, becoming the tenth Husky to reach that milestone.
