UConn defeated Temple 34–20 in Philadelphia on October 10 to reach 3–3 entering its bye week, according to the university’s official game report.
Trey Cornist rushed for 114 yards and a touchdown, his first career 100-yard game. Kalieb Osborne completed 17 of 23 passes for 257 yards and added a rushing score. UConn totaled 505 offensive yards.
The teams finished the first quarter tied at 14. Temple briefly led 17–14 before Cornist’s touchdown and Jack O’Connor’s field goal helped UConn take a 24–17 halftime advantage.
Temple narrowed the margin to 24–20 in the third quarter. A fourth-quarter strip sack and recovery stopped an Owls possession; Cyncir Bowers then scored on an eight-yard run. O’Connor’s late field goal completed the scoring.
The Huskies’ next scheduled game is October 23 against Massachusetts at Rentschler Field, with kickoff listed for 7 p.m. This report covers the October 10 game, not a new contest today.
