UConn clinched the Big East regular-season field hockey championship Friday, October 16, with a 2–0 win at Georgetown, according to the university’s official match report.
The No. 3 Huskies moved to 11–1 overall and 5–0 in conference play. Both goals came in the second quarter: Abby Davidson opened the scoring at 18:26 off an Olivia McKenna assist, and McKenna made it 2–0 at 29:37.
UConn controlled the chances with an 18–1 advantage in shots and a 9–0 edge in shots on goal. Natalie McKenna completed the shutout without needing a save.
The regular-season title is distinct from the conference tournament championship. Friday’s official report establishes the regular-season achievement, not a tournament result.
The Huskies next visit Cornell on Sunday, October 18, with a 2 p.m. start listed by UConn.
