STONINGTON — A driver was taken to Lawrence + Memorial Hospital after a vehicle struck a house on Morgan Street in Pawcatuck around 6:55 p.m. October 8.

Patch’s October 9 report, citing The Day, confirms the ambulance transport and says the crash remained under investigation at publication.

In a separate October 8 Hearst report, Deputy Police Chief Todd Olson said investigators believed a medical emergency caused the driver to lose control while traveling south. He said the vehicle hit a tree before the house; nobody inside the residence was reported injured.

Olson described the driver’s injuries as serious but not life-threatening at that time and said the building inspector had been notified. This is dated coverage of the October 8 incident. A subsequent medical condition or building-inspection result has not been verified.
