STAFFORD — Route 190 at Rockwell Road in Stafford Springs is scheduled to close at 7 p.m. Friday, October 16, and reopen at 10 a.m. Sunday, October 18, according to the Connecticut Department of Transportation.
FSM Services will replace failed drainage pipes. CTDOT lists Monday, October 19, as the overall work-completion date, separate from Sunday morning’s planned road reopening.
Drivers are directed to follow the posted detour or choose alternate routes. The department’s notice does not identify specific detour streets.
Travelers using the intersection Friday evening or over the weekend should plan around the continuous closure. CTDOT cautions that weather or unforeseen conditions could change or extend the schedule.
The project is part of CTDOT’s 2027 Vendor Resurfacing Program. This brief is based on the department’s October 13 construction advisory, rechecked October 16.
