SCOTLAND — Construction had begun on the Bass Road and northern Brook Road bridges when the First Selectman issued a September 3 project update.
The town said Arborio Construction received both contracts, with SLR International consulting on Brook Road and Cardinal Engineering on Bass Road.
The update anticipated completion early in 2027 but warned that a DEEP restriction on Brook Road work between October 1 and July 1 could create a substantial delay. The town said it was discussing that issue with the agency.
Scotland also reported a $736,500 grant for the Kemp Road bridge, with work expected in early 2027. Gager Hill and southern Brook Road construction were scheduled for 2027.
