PUTNAM — Sandtasia sand sculptors are building a downtown sandcastle ahead of the Great Pumpkin Festival on Saturday, October 17.
WINY Radio reported October 13 that artists were working through rain and changing conditions on the sculpture in Union Square. The station identified Jewett City Savings Bank as the presenter.
The Town of Putnam’s current recreation page lists the 2026 Great Pumpkin Fest for October 17, confirming the Saturday referenced in WINY’s report.
The sculpture remained a work in progress when WINY posted its account. A completed design and completion time have not been announced in the material reviewed. Visitors should check current festival announcements for activity details and weather changes.
