PUTNAM — Paws Cat Shelter reported collecting five boxes of donations from the Putnam Price Chopper following a food drive held in the previous month.
In its October 12 Facebook update, the shelter thanked the store and community members who purchased supplies for cats in the shelter’s care and elsewhere in the community. The post does not provide a weight, dollar value or number of individual donors.
Paws is an all-volunteer, no-kill cat and kitten rescue. Its current website and Facebook profile locate the shelter at 74 School Street in Putnam; the older Woodstock location associated with the organization’s name should not be used as the current donation destination.
The shelter’s contact page says visitors are welcomed Saturdays from noon to 2:30 p.m. and donations are accepted Saturdays, with weekday arrangements available when needed. People planning a delivery can confirm arrangements at 860-315-1228. This report describes the completed collection and does not claim that the store’s food drive is still running.
