The Boston Celtics won their fifth consecutive game Sunday, November 1, beating the Orlando Magic 108–97, according to the team’s official postgame report.
Orlando had a chance to move ahead early in the fourth quarter, but a missed transition layup and turnovers opened the door for Boston. Payton Pritchard converted a three-point play, and Luka Garza followed with a corner three-pointer that stretched the Celtics’ lead to six.
Jayson Tatum led all scorers with 32 points and made 15 of 17 free throws. Paul George added 17 points, eight assists, six rebounds, two steals and two blocks.
Boston forced 18 turnovers and held Orlando to 42 percent shooting. The Celtics finished with 29 assists despite making only 12 of 44 attempts from three-point range.
Anthony Black and Tristan da Silva each scored 23 for the Magic. Garza supplied 12 points off Boston’s bench, and Baylor Scheierman added 10.
