PLAINFIELD — A 56-year-old woman has been charged following a July apartment fire in Moosup, according to WFSB’s November 4 report citing Plainfield police and an arrest document.
Tina Carlo faces one arson count and five counts of reckless endangerment, the station reported. The charges are allegations, and she has not been convicted.
The fire occurred July 23 in a three-story apartment building on Prospect Street. Five other people were inside; no injuries were reported.
WFSB said a neighboring tenant used two extinguishers against the flames while another tenant helped Carlo leave her bed. Investigators identified two separate fires in her apartment, and the Plainfield Fire Marshal’s Office classified the fire as intentionally set, the station reported.
WFSB reported a $75,000 bond and a December 11 court date. The case remains pending.
