NEW LONDON — Montauk Avenue reopened Saturday, November 7, after police temporarily closed part of the street during a morning response that ended without injuries, according to the New London Police Department.

Officers responded at about 9:35 a.m., established a perimeter and communicated with a man until the situation ended peacefully, police said. The department said normal traffic had resumed on the affected portion of the avenue.
