MANSFIELD — The FBI executed a search warrant on Cemetery Road on Tuesday, October 20, with assistance from Connecticut State Police, according to reports by NBC Connecticut and WFSB.

NBC Connecticut attributed the search-warrant confirmation to an FBI public affairs specialist and described the investigation as active and ongoing. WFSB separately reported that state police confirmed their assistance and that the FBI said it was executing a warrant.

The reports reviewed early Tuesday afternoon did not disclose what investigators were seeking, identify a person charged in connection with the search or announce an arrest. Eastern CT News has not independently obtained the warrant or supporting court records. The presence of investigators does not by itself establish that a particular resident committed a crime.

No evacuation instruction, public-threat finding or confirmed road-closure order was established in those accounts. This report is limited to the publicly reported agency activity; it does not identify a private residential address or speculate about the investigation.
