KILLINGLY — A garbage truck with a burning load was moved to Danielson Fire Station Wednesday morning before being relocated to a municipal lot to finish extinguishing the material, according to Quiet Corner Alerts.

The outlet’s preliminary report, timestamped 9:40 a.m. November 4, said Killingly police spotted smoke on Main Street and had the truck moved to the fire station on Academy Street.

A 10 a.m. update said the truck had been taken to a municipal lot so its load could be dumped and extinguishment completed.

The report does not give a cause, identify injuries or announce that the fire was fully extinguished. The account is preliminary; a fire-department statement has not confirmed those details.
