HAMPTON — Connecticut State Police announced three arrests after a resident reported seeing people inside a Hartford Turnpike home through a live security camera on Monday, October 5.
NBC Connecticut, citing state police, reported that the call came at about 3:40 p.m. and that the caller said no one should have been in the house. Troopers and K-9 Kash arrived roughly 10 minutes later and saw three people run into nearby woods, according to that account.
The police K-9 team tracked the group to the Air Line Trail, where troopers took three adult men into custody. The publicly reported hometowns were Hampton, Gales Ferry and Jewett City; their names and private addresses are not reproduced here because they are not needed to explain the incident.
The men face burglary-related allegations along with criminal trespass, criminal mischief and interfering or resisting charges, according to the report. Charges are allegations, and guilt has not been established.
The accessible state police post confirms the agency’s headline account that troopers responded to an active burglary in Hampton and took three suspects into custody. The accessible sources did not establish whether property was recovered, specify the extent of damage, report an injury, or provide later court dispositions.
Anyone with information about this or another crime should use the contact instructions from the investigating agency; emergencies should be reported to 911.
