GROTON — A suspect was taken into custody at a Mystic residence Friday night after a black Toyota Corolla fled police near Interstate 95, according to a verified source who provided information to Eastern CT News.

The source said the vehicle was later located at a residence, where officers entered the home, used a Taser on the suspect and took him into custody.

Two CrimeRadar dispatch entries timestamped approximately 9:23 p.m. October 30 describe a vehicle fleeing near the I-95 northbound entrance at Long Hill. One transcript records an officer reporting that the vehicle accelerated onto the highway before advising that the officer had stopped and turned off emergency lights and sirens.

A third CrimeRadar entry, timestamped approximately 9:39 p.m., describes an ambulance request in the Ledgeland Drive area of Mystic following a reported Taser deployment, with police on scene.

Eastern CT News has not obtained police confirmation of the full sequence. The suspect’s identity, any charges, possible injuries and the reason for the initial attempted stop remain unconfirmed. CrimeRadar’s automated dispatch transcripts may contain errors and are not official police reports.

This is a developing story.
