GROTON — Police responded Saturday afternoon after an officer was flagged down about a person reportedly chasing someone with a knife near Veterans Convenience Store on Gold Star Highway, according to CT Police Live.
The outlet’s scanner-based report places the incident at approximately 1:03 p.m. on October 31. Multiple officers responded, and the individual was reportedly located near Mr. Crab restaurant.
One person was detained in the restaurant’s parking lot, CT Police Live reported. An East Lyme police officer was also at the scene assisting, according to the account.
Eastern CT News has not obtained police confirmation of the reported circumstances. The source report did not establish whether anyone was injured, whether a knife was recovered, or whether charges were filed. A reported detention does not establish that an arrest or criminal charge followed.
This is a developing story. Further confirmed information will be added as it becomes available.
