FRANKLIN — Residents can support Thanksgiving meals for local families through November 14 under the Franklin Food Pantry’s current holiday drive. The town lists a $50 Small Feast sponsorship and a $75 Large Feast sponsorship, alongside monetary contributions to its Food Pantry Holiday Fund.

The drive runs October 10 through November 14, according to the town’s official announcement. Checks should be payable to the Town of Franklin, with Food Pantry written in the memo line, and mailed or delivered to the Treasurer’s Office at Town Hall. The notice directs questions and signups to the Franklin Senior Center at 860-642-3936.

The holiday appeal accompanies an ongoing food-assistance program. The town says its pantry offers supplemental, pre-packaged weekly food boxes at no cost to eligible Franklin residents, with requests submitted in advance. Its current service page lists Tuesday distributions and pickup at the Senior Center or Town Hall.

The service page does not specify the weekly request cutoff or a pickup-hour window. Residents should use the linked food-request form and confirm arrangements with the town before visiting; the available information does not guarantee a box without a request or establish that every applicant qualifies.

Franklin’s October newsletter says the pantry is settled into its new location, stocked and open, and encourages residents to seek help when food costs or an unexpected hardship strain a household budget. It also says staff can connect residents with heating-assistance programs and other resources. That is a referral offer, not a guarantee of an energy-assistance award.

The pantry welcomes nonperishable food, grocery-store gift cards and monetary donations. Its published suggestions include cereal, pasta and sauce, canned vegetables and fruit, soup, tuna, peanut butter, rice and crackers. Donors should confirm current needs and delivery arrangements with the pantry.

This report was prepared from the town’s current Thanksgiving-drive announcement, Food Pantry and Social Services page and October Franklin Life newsletter. The drive notice was originally posted September 14; it is an ongoing appeal, not a newly announced program. The Town Hall file photograph shows a listed donation and food-box pickup venue, not the pantry’s interior, a recipient or a Thanksgiving distribution.
