GROTON — The Fitch, Stonington, Ledyard and St. Bernard girls swimming co-op defeated the Shoreline co-op 88–82 Tuesday at UConn Avery Point, The Day reported.

The result moved the Fitch-based team to 9–0 overall and 4–0 in the Eastern Connecticut Conference. Shoreline combines swimmers from Old Lyme, Haddam-Killingworth, Valley Regional and Old Saybrook.

The six-point final establishes the meet result and the Fitch co-op’s record as reported Tuesday night. It is not used here to infer a broader league ranking or postseason position.

The merged Fitch program is in its first season combining the four schools, according to The Day’s report.
