MANSFIELD — E.O. Smith senior Gabriel White won the Boys Medium division at the October 10 Wickham Park Invitational, leading a race in which four of the top five finishers represented schools in Eastern CT News’ coverage area.
The published 5,000-meter results list White first in 16:10.17. Ellington junior Alexander Bianchi finished second in 16:31.94, followed by East Greenwich’s Andrew Parisi in 16:33.00.
Fitch senior Connor Dube placed fourth in 16:34.33, and Rockville senior Emmett Kristoff was fifth in 16:48.68. E.O. Smith’s Max Mattingly finished 12th in 16:59.44.
An October 14 GameTimeCT profile reported that White entered Wickham after running a season-best 15:55.6 at the Great American XC Festival on October 3. The report identifies the Central Connecticut Conference championships at Wickham on October 20 as his next major test.
