LEDYARD / NORWICH — The Eastern Connecticut Conference recognized Ledyard soccer player Bailey Bowman and Norwich Free Academy cross-country runner Jack Dempsey as Athlete of the Week winners in an October 12 announcement.
The conference’s accompanying graphics identify Bowman with the girls’ award and Dempsey with the boys’ award. Both graphics label the awards Week 3. The recognition is an athlete poll award, not a game result or a conference standings position.
ECC thanked fans who voted and identified Buffalo Wild Wings of Waterford as the sponsor. The announcement does not provide vote totals, match statistics or race times; those details are not inferred here.
