EAST LYME — A two-vehicle crash closed Route 161 in both directions at Walnut Hill Road Monday evening, according to CTroads, the state’s traffic-information service.
The advisory says the crash was reported at 6:52 p.m. October 19 and the entry was updated at 6:55 p.m. Both directions remained listed as closed when Eastern CT News checked before publication.
Drivers should avoid the intersection and follow posted closures and responders’ directions. The notice does not provide an official detour or estimated reopening time.
The advisory reviewed gives no information about injuries, the vehicles involved, the cause of the crash or a responding agency. Those details and a reopening update remain pending.
