WOODBRIDGE — Detectives have identified a possible suspect vehicle in the investigation of a fatal October 31 incident on Route 15, WFSB reported Wednesday, citing a preliminary police investigation.
Todd Atkins, 43, was found unresponsive with serious injuries near the Racebrook Road overpass at about 5:30 a.m. and later died at the hospital, according to WFSB.
Investigators believe his car may have been struck by an object that appears to have been dropped from the overpass. WFSB reported that detectives reviewed security footage and were working to identify a person of interest. Those preliminary findings do not establish who was responsible.
Drivers who traveled Route 15 or the Route 114/Racebrook Road overpass around that time are being asked to share information or dashcam recordings, even if they did not see the incident, NBC Connecticut reports. Detective Adrian Holmes can be reached at 203-393-4200 or Adrian.Holmes@ct.gov.
