Connecticut is participating in Operation Wicked Safe, a regional highway enforcement campaign running Tuesday, October 13, through Thursday, October 15, according to WBUR’s reporting on the police announcement.

State police agencies in Massachusetts, Connecticut, Vermont, New Hampshire, Rhode Island and New York are coordinating the effort. Officers will focus on speeding, aggressive driving, distraction and suspected impaired driving.

The regional announcement identifies interstate corridors including I-84, I-95 and I-395, roads used by Eastern Connecticut commuters and commercial traffic. It does not establish where individual Connecticut patrols will be stationed.

The campaign is an enforcement operation, not a road-closure notice. This report does not claim particular arrests or results; those would require subsequent agency reports.
