BROOKLYN — Residents visiting the first selectman’s office will have a different destination beginning November 16, under plans outlined in the town’s October 22 monthly message.

The first selectman, new Town Administrator Elaine Sistare and the first selectman’s administrative assistant are scheduled to move to the Clifford B. Green Building. The message describes Sistare as Brooklyn’s first town administrator.

The town clerk, assessor, tax collector and registrar of voters will remain on Town Hall’s first floor at 4 Wolf Den Road. Human resources and finance will also stay at Town Hall for now; their later relocation depends on other departmental moves.

The town plans renovations for Parks & Recreation space at the Community Center, 31 Tiffany Street. The Brooklyn Cares Food Shelf and Clothing Store would continue downstairs. Separately, prospective bidders toured the Senior Center ahead of planned renovations.

The message does not establish construction costs, contract awards or completion dates. Residents should use current office locations until the scheduled move takes effect and check the town’s notice for changes.
