BROOKLYN — A Canterbury man suffered suspected life-threatening injuries when his motorcycle left North Society Road and struck rocks and trees Monday, according to a WINY Radio report citing Connecticut State Police.

The crash occurred at about 11:55 a.m. November 2. WINY identified the rider as Shane Pierce, 44, and reported that he was riding a 2005 Harley-Davidson southbound before the motorcycle entered the shoulder and he was thrown from it.

LIFE STAR flew Pierce to Rhode Island Hospital, WINY reported. The report listed Troop D, Mortlake, East Brooklyn and Hampton fire departments, Mortlake Ambulance and Canterbury Ambulance among the responders.

The motorcycle was towed because of disabling damage. State police were continuing to investigate, according to WINY’s Wednesday report. The report did not provide a later medical condition.
