BOZRAH — Bozrah Light and Power customers will have a chance November 18 to comment on proposed electric-rate changes covering bills issued on and after April 1 in 2027, 2028 and 2029.

The public hearing is scheduled for Wednesday, November 18, at 6 p.m. at the Bozrah Recreation and Senior Center, 59 Bozrah Street, according to the company’s formal hearing notice. Electricity consumers, property owners served by the company and other interested people may speak; written comments will also be received and considered.

For standard residential service, the proposal lists monthly service charges of $30.50 in 2027, $31.50 in 2028 and $32.50 in 2029. The corresponding energy charges would be 16.572, 16.687 and 16.804 cents per kilowatt-hour.

Those figures are not a complete monthly bill. The proposed residential schedule also includes purchased-power and transmission-cost adjustments and any other required charges. A household’s usage and the applicable adjustments would affect what it pays.

The document also sets out separate farm, commercial, large-commercial, lighting and net-metering schedules. These are proposed rates for a public hearing, not an announcement that the changes have been adopted.

Customers can inspect the complete proposed schedules at the Director of Utilities or City Clerk’s offices in Groton’s Municipal Building, 295 Meridian Street. Copies may also be requested from directorsoffice@grotonutilities.com.
