BOZRAH — The town is seeking contractors to remodel its building at 194 Fitchville Road into a daycare facility, according to an October 6 invitation to bid.
The notice describes a light-commercial renovation funded by Local Initiative Support Cooperative and Connecticut’s Office of Early Childhood. It does not state a construction price, opening date, operator or number of childcare spaces.
Contractors must attend a walkthrough at 9 a.m. October 14. Earlier access can be arranged with the first selectman’s office, but the notice still calls the scheduled walkthrough mandatory.
Bids will be accepted through October 21 and opened at 10 a.m. that day. Bid documents are available at Town Hall, 1 River Road, or through Firstselectman@Bozrahct.org. Access questions can go to 860-889-2689, extension 202.
This is a procurement step, not an announcement that childcare enrollment has opened. The town reserves the right to reject nonconforming bids.
