ASHFORD — A tree on utility lines across Kidder Brook Road prompted a closure near the 130 block Friday afternoon, according to an Ashford Volunteer Fire Department notice carried by WINY Radio.
The notice, published at 3:45 p.m. November 6, said there was no through traffic in that area and asked drivers to seek an alternative route. It said Eversource had been notified.
The announcement did not give a reopening time or identify an official detour. Drivers should follow posted barriers and keep clear of fallen wires.
